Julia is a Limited Licensed Professional Counselor(LLPC). She graduated from Andrews University with a Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. Throughout her internship experience here at the Donarski Center, she has worked with children, adolescents, and adults with a variety of issues including but not limited to behavioral concerns, anxiety, depression, anger and stress management, and relationship issues.
As a newly limited counselor, Julia offers an integrated approach in sessions, using the therapeutic styles that would work the best with each client and the concerns they bring to the therapy room.
She is passionate about helping clients navigate cultural and life adjustments, along with the emotional aspects they carry onto the clients. Originally from South Korea, she understands the challenges that come with adapting to new environments – starting from moving and adjusting to a new city to personal changes like a new job or member changes in the home.
