Nycole’s areas of specialization include children, parenting issues/training, women’s issues, grief and loss, ADHD, and other neurodevelopmental disorders. Nycole incorporates relational, psychodynamic, strengths-based, cognitive behavior therapy (CBT), and play-based approaches into her work with clients. A basic premise of successful counseling that she holds is a strong therapeutic relationship centered on trust and mutual respect between client and therapist. Nycole seeks to provide a safe, validating, and accepting atmosphere where clients feel comfortable exploring and reconstructing their meanings, values, beliefs, and truths; their unique pasts, the present, and future aspirations in order to move toward healing, growth, and reaching their full potential.

“One can choose to go back toward safety or forward toward growth. Growth must be chosen again and again; fear must be overcome again and again.”

-Abraham Maslow
