- MHA’s DIY Tools page has an incredible array of resources, which are able to be sorted by conditions (examples: Anxiety, Bipolar, Trauma & PTSD, Loneliness), tags (examples: youth, caregiver, LBGTQ+), and type of resource (examples: document, website, mobile app). DIY tools are also available in Spanish.
- MHA offers hundreds of articles under their “Learn about Mental Health” tab, sorted by type of concern/condition. (Examples: “My loved one’s behavior is scaring me“; “Feeling lonely in a crowd“; “I can’t stop snapping at people“)
- MHA has online screening tools, an AI assistant to help a person get out of “thinking traps” (patterns of negative thinking), and a space that guides the user through prompts to help them work through a negative thought.
Q Chat Space
- Q Chat Space is a safe place for LBGTQ+ and questioning teens (age 13 to 19 years) to give support, have fun, connect around shared interests, and get good information. A trained facilitator is always present to ensure safety and appropriate discussion topics.
Sesame Workshop
- Sesame Workshop, related to Sesame Street, offers print-outs, videos, articles, games, and storybooks for free. Topics range from Science, Math, Financial Education, Asthma, Health and Hygiene, Emotional Well-Being, Family Bonding, Military Families, Parenting, Social Emotional Skills, Divorce, Foster Care, Grief, Incarceration, Parental Addiction, Traumatic Experiences, etc. Users can sort content based on age range, language, topic, and content.
Empower Work
- Empower Work provides immediate, confidential support for work challenges via SMS (510-674-1414) or web chat. People experiencing stress or concern about work can connect with trained peer counselors to feel heard, supported, and if needed, connected to additional resources.
National Alliance for Eating Disorders
- The National Alliance for Eating Disorders has free online support groups, a helpline, as well as a resource library for information on eating disorders, and informative support for helping a loved one with an eating disorder.

Its website has resources for self-care, signs of stress, tips for managing stress, protective factors for suicide, understanding the warning signs for if someone is at risk for suicide, help for making a safety plan, and resources for those who have lost someone to suicide

- The Alliance of Hope for Suicide Loss Survivors was created by survivors for survivors. The community provides support and other services for people who are coping with devastating loss to suicide. The online forum operates like a 24/7 support group, and the website contains support resources and information on the survivor experience.
